Is that someone Finnish or your relative? If so, he's pretty far from an ideal Finnish type.

His canthal tilt is too low, and his supraorbital rims are too slanted outwards. Also his nose is too downturned. He has too low bizygomatic width, his cheekbones are too small, and his facial skeleton and head are too small in general. In the last pic, you can even see how his hands are smaller than the hands of the other men.

Yes, he is my great grandfather. His small head is what I immediately noticed myself. I was going to propose that he is a smallheaded variety of Kylälahtic Broadskull because Kylälahtic skeletons were said to have quite large convex noses, and he has proportionally broad and high skull, but I can understand you seeing other influences in him, and he is indeed very gracile. His son was more robust, but not as robust as my maternal grandfather who was massive broadskull type.

His ancestry is from Northern shores of Laatokka, but originally the lineage can be traced to original settlers of Kainuu. I think he is similar gracile type to Kainuuan Heikki Kovalainen.

Ymy!

If you think my great grandfather looks exotic, take a look at his son, my grandfather:

As I said he is obviously much more robust than his father, with flared cheekbones and large hands etc. But now another problem arises, if my great grandfather had absolutely small head, my grandfather then switches on another gear, having then proportionally freakishly small, narrow and low forehead, which is very un-Finnish. He looks a exotic and dark Esa Pakarinen-lite, almost like pseudo-Ossetian/Great Plains Native American hybrid. He is proportionally very much opposite to his dad. Before anyone start suggesting fowl play here, I can inform that the exotic looks comes from my great grandmother who was very dark and exotic looking indeed. My dad then in turn looks very much like my great grandfather.

His forehead looks especially small compared to my already mentioned maternal grandfather who is a proper Broadskull specimen. And Ymy, for this one time try ignore the somewhat large nose and look at the big picture instead ;)

I still think something more complex needs to explain the craggy and bony skeletor skull face. Fex Cords have smooth face. Great Plaines Indian-Siberian-Gagauz-Ossetian seems plausible. John Redcorn from King of the Hill meets Dörbiz Mountain Man.
