Well, if Lukashenko will be convinced to use tests and close some sectors of economy for a few weeks/months it would be already big help

Belarus has a recent example of "European integration" right south of it. Destroyed industry, general degradation and guestworking economy.

This question is off-topic. It makes sense to compare Belarus and Ukraine - countries which were the most close on the moment of USSR disintegration and which parted ways since.

You're right sorry.
Anyway in case of Ukraine it was also lack of local specialists and oligarchs destroyed industry. In Belarus there are not many oligarchs after all

OK.
Eastern Ukraine used to be industrial too. Now, I hear Kharkov produces 1 tank a year vs 1 000 in Soviet time. Similarly in other branches.

AFAIK, about all "integrated" Eastern European countries by some reason provide many guestworkers to Western Europe. Western Europeans should make their minds if they really want this scnenario or not.
yes, Western Europe needs cheap workforce, somebody have to clean or harvest asparagus

Having been raised in an area (Brabant. I grew up in Waalwijk which used to be the center of the leather industry) with a lot of unemployment because industry had been gutted and moved abroad: no. It's time to bring back industry and put our own people back to work. And, as Sunqvist may mention the asparagus fields, guess what ? I spent quite a few years as a teenager (South-Eastern Brabant and Northern Limburg) in that area and he's wrong: back then the local kids used to do it but they started bringing in Eastern Europeans in order to undercut those high school kids. There too, whole communities had been gutted by unemployment and this only made it worse.
they are playing on our fears, my answer was to calm down that person

Normally, only few moneybags profit from such scenarios. The rest - lose.

I dont know whats going all with all the Belerusian parting ways with Russia news. When Russia took Crimea, Lukashenko said that they should take all of Ukraine. Then only a year ago Lukashenko was eager to join Russia as a single country, and it was Putin who rejected the idea. WTF has happened since then?

As I understand the problem which had recently arisen between Putin and Lukashenko is because Putin wanted to legalize his official reign in a new status as a president of a new state Russia+Belarus where Lukashenko loses his role of a president. After that Russia started to blackmail Luka by higher prices on oil and gas. Luka began to blackmail back by inviting American diplomats and searching for other sources of oil and gas.
At the end Putin found a different decision to change Russian constitution to legalize his new two terms as a president.
Lukasheko had been struggling to keep his independence from Russia.

Lukashenko has seized power and will not give it to anyone. Because power is his salvation, physical. If he loses it, he will be literally torn, because he has crossed too many roads. He will be judged for missing politicians, for seized businesses, for the huge number of deaths due to the non-recognition of this virus, and so on. While he is in the palace, he is alive.
Lukashenko will not be satisfied with the status of just a wealthy pensioner without authority. He may not be given protection and guarantees for bad behavior, that’s the reason for the hysterics.
And he also owes Russia for resources a lot.
Time to organise ourselves. Let's call ourselves the Organisation for Potato Exporting Countries. Or OPEC.
