Because realizing why Islam is incredibly appealing to a lot of westerners doesn't mean I don't see its shortcomings, which there are plenty of. There are a handful of things about the religion that are very disturbing, but also many that are beautiful, so it captivates people. I was explaining why people convert, and the masculine culture associated with Islam is definitely one of those things. I have no "fantasy" here. I'm Christian until death.
