Metrically looks Nordid + CM.
More of a Central European face than the specific Hallstatt variety though.

In the first pic she looks like the other woman I posted.

She had a German grandfather, but looked almost completely German. ScandoNordid & Faelid (from German side) + Baltid & Dinaric (from Romanian side). Best fit is as Czech...

How'd you know that? any sources on that?
Also, provide a pic/link of her grandfather if you say so.
I don't think she passes as a czech, I would place her further west, but in the last pic she looks EE.

IMO, she can pass Central and West European countries but the kids in last picture looks quite Turkish.

When I was much younger (some 20 years ago), she was a sort of national celebrity on TV. Very beautiful and very atypical: looked more German than the average German. Back then there were some ethnic Germans left, so everyone assumed her parents changed their surname to avoid deportation (as my grandfather did). When asked in some tabloid, she confessed having one German grandfather...

I remember this because back then I wasn't aware of genetic lottery so I couldn't imagine how can a 1/4 German look like that.

I'm surprised she has a German grandfather, the German influence is not visible IMO. With brown hair she looks Serbian to me, nothing unusual for the region. She doesn't look Czech either.

It's not the same person: their features are totally different. Ioana Moldovan is a common name in Romania... Original one is extremely atypical, while this Ioana Moldovan is a good representative of very brunet Romanian:

I was talking about the OP woman not this one. OP woman with brown hair doesn't look atypical and fits best in Banat.

Maybe as Banat Swabian with Romanian admixture. Most Germans have brown hair and her eye color (light mixed) is probably the most common:

There were a lot of Germanized Romanians in Romania, her supposed grandfather might have just as well been one of them. Her look isn't as unusual as you make it out to be.
