SSA depends on calculator I guess, do you have a good model I could run to see my SSA? On those ancient models I mostly get around 4/5% SSA, but we also need to take into consideration that ANA (with Iberomaurusians) also carry a bit of SSA.

Viking period. There is even M222 i.e. Niall of the Nine Hostages ydna in Norway and Sweden and also a much higher amount of L21 but some of that could be Bronze Age but M222 is a bit more telling IMO. The same way the Icelandics received mixture from Irish and Scots. Vikings took thralls and also there was mixed Norse-Gaels from Viking colonies i.e. Dublin, Orkneys etc. Surely most people know this history?

I'm sure there are more complicated reasons also but they are all close.

I just thought people are more aware of Viking history not so much about regions. Anyway that's one of the reasons for some of this mixture in areas i.e. Gaelic mixture in Scandinavian populations and Scandinavian mixture in Britain and Ireland. There could also be other reasons also but the Viking Age is a pretty obvious one.
