There was a sale on ancestry and I ordered a kit. My question is, will I be able to combine/merge my 23 and Me and Ancestry? And will it give much better results on things like gedmatch or g25?

Ancestry alone is good enough but some people make a superkit, yes. Not sure about G25 though, I saw it on Gedmatch only.

Bump. How would I combine them? Can anyone post link?

I did it directly on GEDmatch. I think I paid $10 bucks or something like that, it gives you access to various features including being able to phase a kit for a parent, etc.

My combined AncestryDNA + 23andMe get's me an extra 10,000 snp's on Eurogenes, something like that anyway. Very minor difference, all component changes are less than 1%. I am shifted ever so slightly to the East with the combined kit.

Which chip did you have on 23 and me?

What for? You have 23andme, FTDNA, both haplogroups, Gedmatch, G25, etc. Better test your mother or some other full Gypsy if you have money to waste. But your own results are of no interest to anyone, I think.

Seems like the best option is the pay the premium for full genome test upfront and never have to do another test again. Wish I did that.

Yep, that's what I'm waiting for. You will get the most comprehensive autosomal reading possible, full Y-DNA and mtDNA. When whole genome sequencing drops to at least about EUR90, then I'll consider getting it. I suppose that's coming in like 5 years.

They have DNA communities. And I heard you as gypsy get much more southasian. I know of one gypsie with 60% southasian on Ancestry. Kinda like Myheritage. On Myheritage Im 20% southasian on 23andme and LivingDNA only 10-15%
