Haven't paid for that one but at least that one gave me like 97% European on the free results lol. I did 24genetics but still waiting for results.

For me Living dna was the one that gave 14% middle east lol

I got good results on Ancestry, I'd do that one.

When they say "French," they mean Western Europe as a whole. Still, those are some wacky results. I got some, too. However, the haplogroup prediction was only 2 letters off for me and a few other people I know, so that's something, lmao!

I got good results on Ancestry, I'd do that one.
I think Ancestry gives the best results for Latin Americans and Iberians. It gave my parents good, reasonable scores NA and Near East scores to my parents based on their Spanish origins. For example, father got 4% NA, which typical for Asturias where his family is from, and mother got 9% and she's part Canarian. There is a sale going on with 23andme for mother's day and I"m thinking of picking up some for them to see what they get on that.

I think the algorithm calculates anyone from Western Europe as French lmao
