Just got my Mtdna test back.. wtf

So I just got it back after 5 weeks and dis shit is wack bruh
Apparently I am J1b1a2a which I looked it up and I guess it is a Greek/Italy one???
I already had the Y DNA of J-L283, which is most common in fucking Albania!
Am I secretly Balkan or some shit? This is my K36

your clade seems to be very rare but generally j1b is west asian
j1c is usually found in europeans

I used the FamilyTreeDna test, there was a decent discount a month ago or so when I got it

Well that Greek person could be from Anatolia originally, the other person with that haplogroup is from Armenia.

Yes I was not really surprised that much about the mtdna because on the tree many Armenians, Lebanese also had it. But what do you think about my Y? It is deep Balkan right? And almost no other Iranic population has over 0-2% Italian in the K36. Am I secretly Roman or what :cool:

Only way to know for sure is to test deeper, seems there are some subclades with Armenians in it again for the J2-L283 Y-DNA Haplogroup. BTW distribution of J2-L283 is very similar to E-V13, so could be Greek or Balkan like you said, but could also be Levantine. There are subclades of it found amongst Jews also, that's why the European representation from Slavic countries is skewed.

I think it's also related to Anatolia. He even scores 3-4% East_Balkan on k36
