I'm aware that some people darkwashed Southern Euros and acted like they look no diferent from MENAS/Levantines, but they are less common nowadays. What I see it more here nowadays is the opposite: some (I said some) Southern Euros lightwashing their own people, and acting like their darker type or even normal Meds are exotic and mixed with gypsies, when they aren't.

Of course there are non-nationals and mixed race people living in Southern Europe, but according to some people here, Southern Europeans that don't look Western Euro/Northern shifted are gypsies/exotic/borderline Euro looking.

And this lightwashing happens with all ethnicities. There is a Brazilian user here (Bandeirantes) that is inflating the Euro genes of Brazil, along with the proportion of fully Euro-Brazilians.:picard1:

Brazil is very darkwashed by foreigners, but the people who try to represent this country as being whiter than it really is are also wrong. We should be honest about our countries, not darkwash them and neither lightwash them.

What I can't really understand is: Why do so many people compare British people to Iberians??
They don't look alike at all, in my opinion. Brits have much more Anglo-Saxon and Celtic phenotypes and even most dark Brits (with a few exceptions, of course) look nowhere near Iberians...

Some old Atlantic Facade myth that some people used to believe (even I believed in some aspects of it back in the days), but the truth is that Iberians look way closer to Italians and Greeks than Brits.

There are plenty of mixed people here and in other southern countries. We with our colonial past have loads. Thinking that every non black person here is a native portuguese is a very wrong idea.
There are also plenty of "darkwashers" around.

I already commented that there are mixed race people in Portugal, and not all Retornados were pure Portuguese. But being darker and ambiguos looking is not always synonymous of being mixed race. Many of these darker types are just as fully Portuguese as you.

It is hard to comprehend their logic. They see me as "Gypsy" or "non-Iberian" cause I don't fit their ideal "white" look. Genetics prove themselves.

Not sure because i can't really tell what a pardo is. But i would say a good part of them are white, maybe a little less than half. This also may depend on the area.
