How do DNA companies form their databases?

I thought they record the samples of the people who had already done the test but what if most French people who have done the test were of North African origin? Or what if most British people who had done the test were of Asian origin? In such cases, regular French and regular Brits' results would be very different than expected.

I think they feel the necessity of establishing what is French and what is not. In this case, they'd actually need to use the DNA samples of the French population to form an isolated group in order to separate it from other genetic groups of other populations.

In my view, they're pretty much aware of the contradictions you pointed out.
