Hello Apricity, I have lurked on here for a while. Love the intellectual discussions and general camaraderie!
A bit of background: I am Pakistani Punjabi. My paternal grandmother was a blend of a Persian tribe and Rajput punjabi I believe, my paternal grandfather was a Punjabi as well. My maternal grandmother is Konkani/Maharashtrian and my maternal grandfather was Afghan Muhajir.

Just to clarify, I wasn’t implying that I have Iranid ancestry by adding the Persian tribe part. I was just trying to provide as much info as I could. My ancestry from my grandmothers side is muddled with 4+ generations of certain miscegenation dating from a particular Shah, any Irani dna is very unlikely hence.

Karachi I think. His father was Afghanistan migrant in Ajmer, India. But I’m not sure.
Edit: sorry, my Nana(maternal grandfather) was born in Ajmer, migrated to Pakistan at 14 years old.
