Its interesting because people often claim slovaks have more german ancestry than poles, though from what i can see slovaks dont really have much elevated german ancestry compared to poles, they just plot more to the south on average. R1b in both countries is about the same and after ww2 Poles expelled around 12 million germans while slovaks only 100,000.

For example on Eurogenes k13 polish average for the North atlantic component is 30.4 and 30.66 for south poles. For slovaks on the updated spreadsheet its 30.8. Western european type ancestry in slovakia is most likely celtic and slovaks havent had direct german ancestry for ages while poles had tons of contact with germans before ww2.
