View Full Version : What are the most and least sexually dimorphic european phenotypes.

Most: I would say Borreby and Brunn, two very different physical specimens between males and females a lot of the time. I would say Dinarids and Armenoids can have very gracile women and masculine men so I will include them as well. I would say Spaniards and Portuguese also have more dimorphic med lines

Nordids are hard to say because there are so many types. So I am gonna put them in the gray area. Italian meds are another gray area because there is a lot of diversity among Italians.

Least: Alpines all have a similar small stature and largely gracile features. Pure Turan women are fairly masculine, Subnordids from both genders are smaller framed and more gracile.

Dinarid men are good looking, Dinarid women not so much (I mean pred. Dinarid, little influence is OK), luckily, Dinarid women are rare, also, Brunn females look good (usually), Brunn males not so much. That is what I can say about gender difference between them. xD

Thats a fair argument, Dinarid women though aren't as large framed from my point of view thats why I included them, there are some very gracile dinarid women but like you said they aren't as conventionally attractive. From a females point of View Brunn guys wouldn't be bad looking, at least in American and the Uk/Ireland. It's a very familiar look, when you see a Brunn you know he is probably a character. There are some genuinely ugly Brunns though for sure but their ugliness is usually combined with masculine features which separates them from the women more.

I agree with your post, I just added a new category by which we can distinguish them, totally unrelated to yours, i'm shitposting now, I know. XD

Nordid proper types (hallstatt, East Nordic etc.) both sexes are usually tall, rather athletic leptosoms- so there is less dimorphism

Subnordids are pretty dimorphic, imo, especially since it's not a stable type.

Most dimorphic type is probably Mediterranid, everything considered.

I think it depends on med, there are a lot of strong featured women in Italy and Greece, Spaniards and Portuguese are much more gracile in terms of women overall. Most Subnordids are fairly skinny though, once you go robust then a lot of those types are just watered down Faelid or Borreby types imo.

Also, as least dimorphic could be listed Gorid (usually shorter, stocky and tend to be chubby) and Pontid (gracile, leptomorphic, usually tall and skinny), these characteristics applies to both sexes.

I forgot about Gorid and Pontid both excellent examples. There really is not a lot of difference between those two now that I think about it. Gorids especially have similar body types amongst male and female.

Yes, I agree. As mostly Nordid I was confused for boy few times when younger, with short hair.

Don’t know about the rest but it always called my attention how Iberian men are so masculine (ussualy) while women very feminine being both the same thing.

I have noticed some masculine med type women though with very strong features, mostly Italian though.

interesting, i find atlanto-med (i assume that's the phenotype you're referring to) women to look a bit more masculine than like pontid women

And this is how the goodness nature works: men looking masculine and women looking feminine :noidea:

Atlantids aren't very sexually dimorphic except for Paleo Atlantids imo (paleo Atlantids aren't real Atlantids though) so I would add them to least.

Dinarids tend to represent masculine traits in both females and men imo
