1) Yes it is. This shows the weakness of gedmatch with regard to G25. Gedmatch can assign components but it cannot weight those components in terms of how related they are to each other. So you get Kurds showing up before Turks on there for Pashtuns. G25 by contrast indicates the diverged nature of certain ancestries/components. In this case, it is east asian/mongoloid.

2)No, Kurds don't have significant south asian. In fact they can be modeled perfectly well without it-meaning it's very small.

Thats high Med for an Afghan. But what is the definition for west asian? Caucasian? Also many others in West asia score the same amount of south asian admix like kurds.

Pashtuns score a visible heritage of early iranics in their genetics, the iranic groups of west asia less. And pashtuns are more south-central asia(Gedrosia)/south asian shifted, turks and kurds have just gedrosian shifted genetics.

You should always have someone who knows how to do formal stats check G25 against qpWave for cladliness and especially if as you said the G25 results conflicted with Admixture calculators because G25 is not used in the scientific world.

Anyways this didn't make sense in light of Afghan Pashtuns being Iranics like Kurds and Iranians so I had them checked against qpWave and these are the actual results for Afghan Pashtun. This list is sorted with the top being the most related and the bottom least.

Notice where Kurds and other west Asians fall. I can't show you other Turks because this high snp dataset only had Kayseri Turks and Turks (unknown region). Also notice were Druze and Greeks are since there are some people that claim various things about Pashtun origins.
