nice! it could be that the Jewish is pulling your ancestry more Southern and that thats why you get Serbian and Bosnian as results when you use the whole spreadsheet. i have the same i plot the same as my mother even tho she is Hungarian and im 3/4 Hungarian and 1/4 Dutch but because of my dads little jewish that i got it makes me plot the same as my mother.

So, it is not a false claim that Szekely are local converts and the Hungarian language is given to them by Turks. If there is a Romania_Transylvania component, you can also try with it. Nevertheless, this is the model you should be looking for.

So, I removed them.

yes i still have to figure this out its a bit strange because on k13 and k15 vahaduo i plot exactly the same as my mother and on the regular gedmatch k13 i plot even more Southern then my mother i plot as a Serbian and my mother as Hungarian.

I would not use the SWE_IA sample. It's very likely from the Early Bronze Age based on grave goods, the fact that it's not carbon dated and the other genomes from the same graves belonged to the BA. That's what I've heard atleast.

Also I've found that adding IA samples from Eastern France(Nordhausen) improve the fits for British people, which makes sense considering those samples were probably part of the Hallstatt/La Tene culture.

Well. Actually, Thrace were not a stable region from very antique times. Herodotus says there are two type Thracians, one like Med ones and the other one like pale skinned ones. This statement gives us a clue, Thracian tribes were not the same. Additionally, we also now tribe wars between Thracians, especially against Getae. As you know, later Greeks came to this region. Also, I have a few documents -I pictured them- about Persian migrations to Ancient Thrace.

Romanians and Croats tend to get Northern Italians because of Germanic admixtures. Central and Southern Italy are better proxies for Balkans.

1- As I mentioned before, it could be related with anything. Plus, maybe we can consider about Natufian expansion. My knowledge about this one is very limited.
2- I haven't seen Dacian sample and not really sure HRV_IA is Illyrian but Dacians were like Getae and later mixed with Germanics -like Ostrogoths-.
