Dunno about 23andme but Levantines are grouped with Arabians as Middle Easterners, as opposed to Turks and Armenians being West Asian proper.

That said, on every calculator I have done, I score around 10-12 percent Arabian or Red Sea. Palestinians and Southern Levantines score more.

So the red sea is the arabian admixture in the Levantine category? You sure? Because red sea is present in many non arab and even non middle eastern groups..

Well Red Sea is the only thing that I can think of when it comes to Arabian ancestry.

I mentioned Red Sea because it peaks in Arabia. Europeans have Red Sea but that came from the neolithic era.

There is Beduoin B, but Levantines score low on it. There are Palestinian users here that score 10% max.

What about Southwest Asian admixture of Dodecad K12 instead of Red Sea admixture of Eurogenes K13? I think the first is more of an indicator of Arabian ancestry since it peaks among Saudis. By the way, my Southwest Asian score on Dodecad K12 is 8.88%.

So can we say Levantine has less than 15% arabian admixture to it?

I have no idea how much Arabian they are. I guess it depends on the group/community.

As far as I know Levantines score around 20 something-ish percent Southwest Asian on K12. I don't think that would be literal modern day Arabian like ancestry though because Northern West Asians score considerable amount of it as well.

Do you think Eurogenes K36 can tell how much genetically arab you are? Because it says specifically "Arabian" instead of "Red Sea" or "Southwest Asian"
So this calculator is accurate?

In K36, I score:

Arabian: 8.88
Near East: 23.56

Take that for what is worth.

Interesting

So the numbers under arab tells how much arab admixture those Levantine populations have on average?

Interesting.

Palestinians seem more SSA than Jordanians. Would have thought the reverse.

Red Sea peaks among Ethiopians and Somalis so it might be representing genetic footprint of Hamitic people. Southwest Asian peaks among Saudi Arabians and I guess it is a more accurate representation of Arabic people's genetic footprint.

I score 17.77% which actually seems in line up pretty accurately with my ancestry, so who knows. Still wouldn't take it too literally though.
