In the Charcolithic/Bronze ages, there was mass migration of Iranian population into the levant and carrying Iran_chL and CHG with J2 and J1-P58 markers. Those Iranian farmers from the zagros were the first domesticators of goats, sheep in the world and developed new metallurgical techniques. Southern Levantine populations (who then populated Arabia) were less affected, and retained their more natufian profile, but J1 became more fixed in Arabs despite being close to E-carrying old Levant. Anatolia was effect too, by the middle bronze age, only 60% of Anatolians were genetically Barcin_N/Anatolian_N, recieving lots of Iran_CHL and CHG ancestry, thus J2 was the dominant marker of Bronze age anatolia. These Bronze Anatolians then migrated to Italy and Balkans, but impact more on S. Italy, hence high J2 in parts of the Italian peninsula and the balkans.
