Classify or / and place these HS students from Upper Silesia (Katowice, Rybnik)

Which other ethnicities do they pass as better or worse? Is some difference between them and Poles from Łódzkie Voivodeship quite detectable? I think there is some difference, albeit not huge obviously. Most of these people are actual Silesians (Ślązacy, they should speak some godka. Some of them remind me strongly Czechs. Are they dark, light or in between? :rolleyes:

Women look very Slavic while men are more diverse -they have more dinaric and med features than those in central Poland,also they have more western euro looking guys.
Few golden blonds which were absent in central Polish set.

IMHO,girls pass from west to east Slavs, guys even to west and south Europe individually except Slavic.

So you see the difference too I understand? Cool, whenever I try to argue with my dad that people from various parts of Poland kinda differ in appearance he gives me a look as if I started speaking Hebrew out of nowhere. :D There are certain localities that differ a little bit but already enough to be noticeable once you delve in or spend some time there in particular. These people are not lighter or darker than some average Poles imho though. People in Upper Silesia never struck me as such.

Ok, btw. there are some quirky stereotypes / jokes about that I've come across a couple of times for instance about Upper Silesians women ... that they have narrow hips and short legs / nisko zawieszone - literally it could be translated into 'suspended low' like a limousine. I think this is BS. But there are stocky types there too.

I ve saw def. more faces that can pass easier here than in the other set.
Overall more Dinarics, they look also more taller than the other group. Overall they still look West Slavic to me- maybe this time more closer to Czech than Slovaks if it makes any sense. On the 2nd pic the guy on the far left with the grey sweather is a good example who could be either Austrian, Czech or German for example.

Agree with statement that girls looks Slavic (N.Pontid + Alpine/Gorid as most common in this set) while guys are very diverse (Dinarid and Med/Nordo-Med types are more present than in previous set). Ironically, these people seems less familiar than those in previous set. :dunno:

Do they look quite close to Hungarians? How many would you say, roughly, would fit nicely?

I am not sure, but they could pass better than some other groups / subset of Poles. In the latest census it was possible tho mark Silesian ethnciity and over 2% of people in Poland have chosen it (it was possible to mark more than one).

Do you also find them bit different looking than Poles from this set from Central Poland?
