I found this in an old thread and it proved to be very accurate in my case. Not so long ago I created another thread about lactose intolerance which inspired the creation of several similar threads.

Afterall, this fresh thread could be a so-called ,,collection point'' and if you want it, then please share your results and describe how accurate / realistic they are. (you can share just a part of it if you wish)

My results:

https://i.imgur.com/nb1t1MX.png

Overall it seems really accurate in my case. Why?

- I would say that 2/3 of my family have dark brown / black eyes

- My father has very dark/somewhat black hair. I also have very dark hair and some people in my family have jet black hair, while some people are blonde/light brunette.

- I'm lactose intolerant, so is my father and possibly many people from my family

- I can't really stand alcohol especially heavy/strong drinks (1-2 beers are okay). I have really bad hangovers.

Can you be a bigger WOG than me?

- Majority of my family has dark hair with some outliers.
- On my mothers side I would say 1/4 has green/blue eyes while on my fathers side majority has brown eyes which I also got.
- According to the SNP and alleles that I got I'm lacoste intolerant, but I eat and drink milk products on a daily basis without any problems.
- I've never drunk alcohol so I have no idea how I would react to it.

Yes I flush, my face takes a little reddish color and sometimes my neck, etc. it depends. The symptoms sometimes also include bad hangovers (my head hurts even if I don't get drunk... which is really annoying).

Hangover is really rare in my case, and my head doesn't hurt usually. But it literally feels like having a fever and I go to wash my face with cold water once in ten min. My cheeks and chest turns to tomato red after one beer. It continues to burning inside even after a hour after stops drinking.

I don't know if it is moderate, strong, or little. But I evaluated as moderate :D

Haha that's funny :D In my case it says 14 cigarettes/day (and we tend to be heavy smokers unfortunately)
And woah, you have an allele for the dry ear wax! Really interesting.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I'm curious if there are other members who have the highest chance to have black hair other than me. I know I'm not fully European, but still.

The taxonomy is different depending on whether you live in a country like France or another. For example, in French taxonomy a distinction is made between "dark brown hair" and black hair, and between dark chesnut and light chesnut.

For example, if I use French taxonomy: the hair color classified as "brown" according to https://dna.frieger.com would be considered as dark chesnut in France. However the hair color classified as "black" on the site is quite realistic: it is black. Black has no shade of color in natural light (sun or outdoor). You can be dark brown, but not have black hair, that is to say keep a shade of brown color but quite weak (giving the impression of black color at the distance), but dark brown is quite different from the dark chestnut, the shade of the latter is much lighter in outside light.

"The chestnut is a color name used to describe that of the hair, with reference to the chestnut, fruit of the chestnut."

In France, but not in the United States (because all will be considered brown, without distinction of shade, which is, in my opinion, does not take into account the reality of color shades):

This is dark chestnut

This is black hair

Note that: the Hair gel or spray tends to darken the hair (in the case of chesnut hair for example) + the camera flash also tends to darken the hair.

The best way to know its color in a precise way: no styling gel + go outside with a mirror + do not take a photo (the color settings of the device sometimes do not correspond very little or not, or even not at all, to the reality of the colors that the human eye perceives).

Seems very accurate.
I and at least half of my family do have light eyes.
Also brown hair colour indeed is much more prevalent in my family than black hair.

This shows that even native people outside of Europe can get such attributes as light eyes/hair

Exactly! I know and have seen so many Turkish people with light eyes, some with even light hair. Turks are diverse and beautiful people.

And it also shows that native European people can have dark features like hair and eyes (sometimes skin as well).

I'm not so sure if this is exclusive in my case because of my Southeastern European ancestry (black hair and black eyes). It might as well be a Siberian/East Asian trait in my case. I'm just speculating now. But it can't be from elsewhere if we want to be ,,logical" here.

A lot of people have black hair in my family, I only have one relative who has done a DNA test and he is 3% Central Asian the rest is mostly East and West European so it could be (he also has dark eyes and black hair).

It also tells me ,,light tan''. So I guess you can tan a bit more than me, so probably between light and average (I can tan, just not so much).

Since I have access to my parents' DNA, I'll compare the likelihood of their offspring having certain traits compared to my own results from the calc.

Alcohol Flush:
Prediction: Little or no flushing
My result: Little or no flushing
Accuracy: I do flush a little bit, so this is correct

Bitter Taste Perception:
Prediction: 60% can taste, 40% cannot taste
My result: Can taste
Accuracy: Correct

Earwax Type:
Prediction: Wet earwax
My result: I have wet earwax.
Accuracy: I have wet earwax, so this is correct.

Lactose Intolerance
Prediction: 50% tolerant, 50% intolerant
My result: Likely tolerant
Accuracy: I feel like I'll become more intolerant late in my life, just like my mother and her father did, so I would say that this correct because for now, I don't have any adverse reactions to lactose, just like my mother and her father did in the beginning of their lives.

Eye Color:
Prediction: 58% brown/black, 25% blue/gray, 16% green/hazel
My result: Blue/gray
Accuracy: I have grayish/greenish/bluish eyes, so I'd say this is correct. It's important to note that the calc thought my dad's eyes were brown/black, when they're actually blue.

Hair Color:
Prediction: 43% brown, 29% black, 28% light brown
My result: 52% blonde, 48% black.
Accuracy: The prediction was closer to the truth. I have dark brown hair, whereas my mother has blonde hair and my father has dark brown/almost black hair.

Tanning Ability
Prediction: Light tan
My result: Light tan
Accuracy: Correct

Good for the 23andme customers. I have my DNA data from elsewhere. They couldn't deliver the kit to me even in 2 months.
