Turkish or Iranian or Southasian?

I think originally they were Turkic Central Asians and their name is derived from Mongols. With time, they must have mixed heavily with Indians and started to look more South Asian.

The founders such as Babur (born 1483 in Uzbekistan) were directly descendants of Timur (Tamerlane) and probably looked like Uzbeks. Same with his son Humayun but Humayun’s son Akbar was half persian half Uzbek type. Akbar’s son Jahangir was 1/2 Indian and 1/4 Uzbek type 1/4 Persian. He would have blended in very well with Afghans where they ruled out of for a long time

After that Indian genes started to increase

The name "Great Mughals" appeared already under the British colonialists, neither the founder of the Empire, nor his descendants called themselves so. The term "mogul" was used by the population in India to refer to all Muslims in North India and Central Asia.
Appearance - typical R1a Caucasoids.

This is the founder of the Mughal empire - Akbar the Great (1556-1605), the son of Humayun and the grandson of the famous Babur.

As we see, in all the engravings neither the supreme ruler of Hindustan - the Great Mogul, nor his ministers, nor the Brahmins, nor the judges, nor even the executors of the sentence have anything in their appearance either Mongolian or Indian, or Arabic (Semitic). These are people of the white race.

Akbar the Great, grandson of the founder of the Mughal dynasty in India, Babur (I have already considered him above). Remove the turban, and you get a typical Russian Cossack.

And this is what the vizier of the Mughal Empire, Shuja ad-Daula Haidar (1732-1775) looked like. Agree, something similar to a wealthy gentleman from Little Russia.

The last Great Mogul - Bahadur Shah II (1775-1862) was also white. Note that, judging by these images, the Mughal elite took the purity of blood seriously - the features of the white race were clearly preserved from the first to the last ruler.

Lol, the Mughals weren't white. Pictures posted above are mostly imagined portraits by Europeans who had never actually seen them in person. The sculptures are modern.

The direct descendant of Mughal emperors looks like full Indian now after many generations of mixture with Indian queens.

Even their persian Nobles look like full born Indians now

Whatever the Democrats, Liberals, etc, say we have only 2 types of civilizers - R1a and R1b. All other civilizations appeared only under the influence of these two.

The second picture shows a really bad reconstructed bust. Also i doubt that the other pictures are realistic, except some.

First they looked like Turkmens/Tadjiks/Uzbeks then like Tadjiks/Iranians then like Indians.

I guess they looked similar to today's Uyghurs & Uzbeks. Then they mixed with Indians. Even their descendants today looks very South Asian.
