You can see your results on the previous 23andme algorithm. They apparently didn't update this tool: https://you.23andme.com/tools/share/

Check your scores and write manually.

The previous update didn't affect everyone. It means Iranian samples didn't get an update recently, your result stayed the same.

This old algorithm made me less Eastern European and more Southern European, than currently.

Northwestern European 46%

-French and German 20%
-British and Irish 8%
-Scandinavian 4%
-Broadly Northwestern European 14%

Eastern European 28%

Southern European 16%

-Greek and Balkan 5%
-Italian 3%
-Broadly Southern European 8%

Broadly European 10%

Greek & Balkan 67%
Eastern European 28%
Italian 3%
Broadly Southern European <1%
Broadly European 1%
Broadly Northwestern European <1%

Old one seems more accurate, it detects my distant Italian ancestry while the updated version probably just grouped with the average Dalmatian population.

I actually saved my results from all updates. Just checked the previous from "Share & Compare" and they are the same as in the image below.
I would say that the current update is doing significantly better at ancestry locations than this one. For example, Greece no longer appears. I get only locations from R. Moldova and Romania for Greek & Balkan.

Well, I didn't get any Balkan region.

Well, I didn't get any Balkan region.

Why would you get any if they are supposedly not aware of Balkan Turks and didn't test them?

I still have my very first 23andme results saved :D Makes me feel quite nostalgic

This is irrelevant. They collect samples randomly, I mean they even collect Balkan Turk samples from Western Anatolia and use them as Anatolian reference. Considering there are regions in Greece and Bulgaria where at least 50% Balkan Turk, one would expect to they have these samples as well. Even if they had 0 Balkan Turk which is impossible, there should be still relativity with ethnic Bulgarians of the region and Balkan Turks. Let's ignore it too, but I'm also half Pomak.

Well, there should be an explanation for that.
But in my case it's all that I could expect. I only receive regions from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine (mainly West) and Southeast Poland (probably due to shared ancestry with Western Ukraine). The districts in Moldova are not accurate, but they work well as proxies for my actual heritage.

I wish I had also taken the initiative at the time to screenshot my first results. All I have is a shot of mine from around mid 2018

This is the explanation probably.

Do you still have Turkey?

Yes, I do. 4.6% Anatolian(Western Turkey) and 6.0% Iranian, Caucasian & Mesopotamian(Eastern Turkey).
