E1a and D1a2a1 was found among them. Is this a mistake? Holy shit if true.

A study published in the “Journal for archeological science” by Boulygina et al. 2020 analyzed ancient Koban burials and found a high number of paternal lineage D1a2a1 which is commonly found among the Ainu people in northern Japan and southeastern Russia.

So that's basically some East Asian Y-DNA found in the Caucasus? I first thought that was an mt haplogroup.

Yeah, East Asian Y dna that’s only found among Ainu, Tibetans, and some native Siberians. As well as being found in Andaman Island natives(negritos). How did it end up in Caucasus, and from the paper it wasn’t one or two guys either it was actually frequent.
