"Italian". Okay.

Alessia Caracciolo is from Brampton, Ontario, where she attended Cardinal Ambrozic Catholic Secondary School.[11] Her family is from Calabria. Her father was born in Canada to Italian parents, and her mother is an Italian immigrant.

I guess this is probably the ambiguous kinda exotic dark look some will get in that region. It isn't impossible to happen... but she isn't the typical look for an Italian. Not to say some southern Italian get a weird phenotype like hers though.

Tbh she looks mulata ngl.

I agree with you, Many Calabrians are extremely exotic and swarthy, but this girl doesn't look much Italian. According to statistics about 20% children are the result of marital infidelity, what do you think about?

I also agree with you. I know a boy who's half Italian (his father is from Southern Italy but I don't exactly know from where). Some people tend to look like this, I use a popular term for it, ,,genetic lottery''.

I used to spend my holidays in Grado (before Corona) and I can say her parents aren't so much atypical, they wouldn't be considered exotic in North Eastern Italy, they have a quite common look among Italians.
I have doubts about their daugther, she looks very exotic, even as a Calabrian.

sources? Nowhere I find any infos about supposed jewish referement, Caracciolo is a very Italian surname, common in Sicily and Calabria.

You're trolling, even saints and bishops were called Caracciolo, Caracciolo was a Southern Italian aristocratic family

There have been some "mixing" between Jewish communities and Natives in Calabria, not everywhere though, mainly in urban areas and Southern Calabria.

Catanzaro has 2000 years of Jewish history, and there are quite a few people with a hidden Jew background that discovered it recently.

But yes I agree it would explain why this look.

I've some ancestry from there (aside from French), and particuliarly Cosenza (I'm also a bit Apulian 1/8), I don't agree with your statements. Atleast not for Cosenza province, even Reggio isn't that "dark", the only province that's really dark in Calabria is Vibo Valentia (for whatever reasons).

I had a teacher whose parents came from Southern Italy. She looked just as exotic as this woman (and resembled her to a degree), but was much more tan/darker. Though that might have also been because she was a gym teacher and coach and spent a lot of time outdoors.

If I didn't know any better, I would've guessed her to be Latin American.

I'd say she's probably some type of Med + Berdid maybe? She would likely score more North African/West Asian DNA if she were to ever take a test.

Very intersting, Grazie. pratico uno poco di italiano but I understand that text.

I'm not so much surprised, because a great percentage of Southern Italians are identical to jews according to genetic maps, this is probably the reason many of them look like as pure Jewish people from middle east.
In any case this singer has a strong Australid vibe IMHO

what about her brother? I'm really shocked, why do Italians living in America look so much exotic? This guy is supposed to be 100% Italian although he would pass easily as an indigenous amerindian with some Black admixture. I've been in Calabria and I've met many people who could be confused as middle eastern arabs, Caucasian people and stereotyped Jews, but this Italian-Canadian family is weird from a phenotypical point of you.

I think this fitness model named Jade Ramey resembles her to a degree. Her ancestry is Half Ashkenazi Jewish/Half North Western European. She looks quite "exotic" as well. Her DNA test said she was 97% European (with about half of that being European Jewish ancestry).

Not true.

Ashkenazim, which are they only Jew group with a great overlap are overall more southern and eastern shifted than the Southern Italian average.

And no, not many of them look like Jewish. :picard2:

I don't see Amerindian features, but I think she could pass/be mistaken as being of Latin American origin.

She's of Southern Italian origin and probably has more North African/West Asian DNA that showed up physically in her and her brother, while it didn't for her parents. She looks very North African/Levantine.
