I consider Y-dna to be useless, it's a tiny part of your dna. If a european moves to africa, has children with a local woman and the offspring assimilate to the local, black community, some generations later the european man's descendants will be almost purely african/black genetically but will still carry a european y-dna. Autosomal dna is what defines race, not y-dna.

Autosomal DNA is what defines your current genetic make-up, but it doesn't necessarily defines your heritage and ancestry based upon chronological order.

But is he claiming that G2a in Centraleurope is Hunnic? Lol. Clueless Belgium Chicken. Read more about it before you make any statements as such.

https://www.eupedia.com/europe/Haplogroup_G2a_Y-DNA.shtml

If you look at the maps, G2a-L497 is shared with Westeuroepans like Spaniards, North Italians and even English.
I did not read about this enouh, but its mainly because of Anatholic Farmer and Med population. It makes sense since it peaks in the Alps (Tyrol, Swiss).
Btw Haplogroups found in Hunnns and Avars where N1, e1b1 and R1b. Some even claim that R1a and r1b have Turkic origin. A lot can be claimed though, but prooving such stuff is always the hardest.

G-L497 is a Celtic marker and it's deep origin in European farmer from Anatolia, yes. But this specific clade took part in forming of continental Celts and expanded with Celts, together with Hallstatt marker R-U152.

I agree with you. I mean yeah, I'm E-V13 and 90% of my ancestry is from the Balkans, but autosomally I'm more East-Asian/Turkic (in general) than the average Hungarian. Maybe if I had a more (or at all, lol) Germanic/Saxon (or West-European) ancestry my autosomal results would be more like the results of an average Hungarian.

IDK why many people are so focused on Y-DNA / mtDNA, meanwhile the autosomal results can tell much more in my opinion.

They like to simplify things, so they won't be bothered by the details
