I wonder, what models of cell phones you people use?

Are you a gadget freak or like glossy devices or use the simplest models?

And how many cell phones do you use? What's your monthly bill?

I have SE w980i as the main cell phone...

http://www.cybermob.ru/uploads/posts/2008-06/1214392681_sony_ericsson_w980_00.jpg

and several cheapest models for business calls.

I talk at least 30 min a day but spend no more than 30 dollars a month, as I've chosen a very savvy tariff plan... :)

I love Nokia phones :D. I have a Nokia collection: the one I use is the 6300 in black:

http://www.enucuzkaca.com/urunler/nokia-6300-black-cep-telefonu.jpg

You can drop it and still not get it scratched :thumb001:!

Also an old Nokia 6270

http://www.iyimi.com/resimler/2/4453nokia_6270%5B1%5D.jpg

and even an older Nokia 8310 :D! It still looks cute but I don't use it anymore :p.

I only use one phone normally. I don't spend much at all. I'd rather text than call. About 30 dollars per month, including internet.

I hate mobile phones, I'm on the phone almost constantly when I'm work. I've only bought one so that in case of emergency I can contact the RAC if my car breaks down .

This is it, don't use it that much

Oh dear.. I basically like them as simple as possible, I don't care for games, cameras and all that, a lasting battery is what matters most to me.

The one that I enjoyed having the most was this one in white color:

http://www.flashaccessories.com/images/nok_6103.jpg

Simple, user friendly, and most importantly, I charged it twice a week

I lost it or it was stolen about 1,5 month ago.... :rolleyes2: My boyfriend gave me this one to substitute the old one:

http://nokias60.up.seesaa.net/image/nokia6300.jpg

It's ok I guess....slim and light, it has a lot of features (that I don't use), a really irritating alarm sound :p and the battery doesn't last that long...I much prefered the old-timer :)

I got a Sony Ericsson C702 CCR. Maybe the CCR is because of Creedance Clearwater Revival?:p It's slow when it comes to multitasking, but on the other hand you can drown, eletrecute it, throw it and it still survives:D Not that long lasting battery though:(

They don't make mobiles like they used to. I used to have an Ericsson flip about 10 years ago and nothing would stop it from working. On one occasion I dropped mine outside my house about 10 years ago without realising it, I reversed over it and it still worked perfectly. I miss the days when Ericsson was wholly Swedish! :(

I don't have a cell/mobile phone. I never have, either.

They don't really work where I live due to topography and thus, I've never gotten one. It's quite funny actually--there are a few spots around here, usually on hilltops, where there is reception and I often see people pulled off to the side of the road gabbing away on their phone.

Blah blah blah. ;)

Sony Ericsson C902

I had a *slight* leaving party before I came away, and unfortunately I passed out on the bed and one of my unesteemed guests stole my telephone...

My insurance contract was void because I took the flight to India later that day and did not have time to tell the police with 24 hours.

Anyway, it suits me, because I am just not going to pay them a penny.

To reconnect would cost me £60 for a new handset and £200 bill and also £150 line rental even though I have not been using my phone since it was stolen.

£410 to reconnect? I am not paying them a single penny.

It will stuff my credit rating, but nobody has credit these days anyway. :D

Yes, that was my other phone.

Worry not, like the phoenix rising from the ashes, I will emerge without all those awful people who think that they can phone me up at any hour of the day or night for an instant party etc.

This phone was not lost, it was stolen, but I have no proof at all.

Not bothered though, at least I will not have to pay for phone I am not using. :coffee:

I don't have a cell/mobile phone.

Same here. I had one of the pre-paid types when I first got to the island before we could get our home phone hooked up, but I've since abandoned it. I am very happy to not have one, since the only people who would be calling be would be either my squad leader or platoon sergeant, neither of whom I really want to talk to when I'm out. :thumb001:

I used to have a RAZR v3i, but didn't care for it; awful sound quality, too large, short battery life, etc.

http://i40.tinypic.com/oqcfbq.jpg

I now have the LG VX8800 ("Venus") and find it to be a vast improvement over its predecessor. Unlike the latter, it actually has useful features, as opposed to the garbage added to the RAZR at the expense of basic sound quality.

Everytime I kill my cell phone by smashing it into the wall and promise I will never purchase another one, some "friend" offers me one of his old ones, just in case... "Just in case" really means "we want to be able to get in touch with you, anytime, where ever you are, and especially if you are in the middle of taking a shower!"

I inherited this one from my mother. Unfortunately, I will never be able to get in touch with her from it. Unless Telecom extend their market to heaven, ofcause.

I bought my phone with the same purpose, but soon realized that all of the above functions suck and aren't enough if you want to listen music or shoot pictures in good quality. Combined gadgets on low prices aren't the better choice in every case.

I too detest mobile phones, but unfortunately in this modern world they are a technology that helps owners stay in contact at all times with loved ones and not so loved ones.
Seldom do i use it to actually talk to someone, my modus operandi is text messages, my fear of contracting a brain tumour outweighs the need to use it for only conversations of upmost importance.

It will never completely breaks down, way before your current battery will become a useless crap. :D

My models still living with me:

1) Siemens SL45: no-powered by an useless crap battery, I miss him so much. I guess it was the first phone supporting external memory cards.
2) Nokia 6151: same about the battery.
3) HP iPAQ 6915: including a English-Spanish dictionary developed by myself, the interface is nice (obviously at my very taste), but the "database" (taken from internet) a real shit.

Blackberry Curve 8330; unlocked. Somehow I managed to get most apps working without a Blackberry Data account which is nice. I like the fact it has a headphone socket so it is now my MP3 player with a 32GB memory card installed, have lots of music videos on there too :)

I hate mobile phones, I'm on the phone almost constantly when I'm work. I've only bought one so that in case of emergency I can contact the RAC if my car breaks down .

This is it, don't use it that much
