Should I (or anyone) take these results seriously? I find it somewhat useful, because it says I have an increased risk for hypertension (high blood pressure), which is true (I was diagnosed with it years ago).

Also, I don't mind sharing some of the results here (there are hundreds at least). What is your opinion about this? To me it seems legit and accurate (as far as my knowledge goes about these conditions). We can discuss our results here or also in a PM.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My results

- rs5186(C;C) 7.3x increased risk of hypertension

- rs10490924(T;T) 8.2x risk for age related macular degeneration: In comparison with wild-type homozygosity (G;G), homozygosity for the at-risk allele genotype (T;T) increased the likelihood for polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (...) based on a study of ~100 Japanese patients.

- rs891512(A;A) Higher blood pressure than G;G

- rs3124314(T;T) straighter hair (yes my hair is very straight)

- rs7349332(C;C) straighter hair; common (yes)

- rs3095318(A;T) In Japanese populations, associated with HLA-B*5801 allele and allopurinol side effects

- rs699(C;T) increased risk of hypertension

- rs5848(G;G) lower dementia risk

- rs8192678(A;G) higher blood pressure if <50 (mine is 39.03%)

- rs1408799(C;C) eye color (you have the risk allele C) It says this is for brown eyes but why is this a risk??

- rs3749172(A;A) >1.45x Increased risk for Crohn's disease in Koreans

- rs2823256(G;G) >1.32x increased risk of Crohn's disease in Koreans

- rs279858(G;G) apparently more prone to alcoholism

- rs1042173(T;T) among alcoholics, likely to be heavier drinkers

- rs2305480(C;T) 3.5x increase in risk of asthma for Han Chinese (I don't know about this one but my father has asthma)

- rs6060369(C;T) 0.44cm taller (Good I think I'm average)

- rs11110912(C;C) 1.3x high blood pressure risk

- rs2073711(C;T) Back Pain: lower risk of Lumbar Disc Disease. This appears to reduce the risk of LDD, at least in Japanese people and women.

- rs10936599(C;C) longer telomeres, longer life? (I get this in many other health reports as well)

- rs2802292(G;T) One copy of a longevity gene. Slightly increased lifespan. (Awesome)

- rs2820037(A;T) 1.5x risk of high blood pressure

- rs10168266(C;T) 1.44x risk of Sjogren's syndrome (my mouth is generally dry, no matter how hydrated I am, I was also diagnosed with this)

- rs4959053(A;G) 4.38x risk of Behcet's disease

And many more...

I'd be mindful of them, but not take them too seriously.

Thanks, have you tried this website out?

No, I've taken Promethease as soon as I received my raw data back in the day. I recommend that one if you are interested in the health aspect. It's the most detailed one in this field, if I'm not mistaken.

I think everyone should post their rare genes here. I'll upload mine to imgur and link it here.

One of the ones I liked was the Hermansky-Pudlak mutation albino mutation which is also associated with being a ginger. Then I also got a few variations of blue eye colors and lighter hair and lighter skin. But I have brown eyes and brown hair genetically. But it's cool to see what you are carrying.
