I've heard about this. And encountered a few doing just that. They know the stigma of gypsies and want to seem more presentable I suppose. Most have come to know the difference now. we have romanis here too, honestly i would think of many more as north african immigrants than south asians, our south asian immigrants are mostly dravidian and with no noticeable caucasoid features while the romanis tend to look mostly caucasoid so they look more like our dark skinned mena immigrants than south asian immigrants.

also i think you might still plot and be detected as your main ethnicity/nationality while being highly mixed, i plot a bit northern than apulian but i do look foreign/mena i always suspect to have more recent mena admixture which is balanced autosomically by northern admixture because my ethnic estimates are still different from people of my ethnicities ( they tend to get closer ethnicity estimates while my results show distant ethnicities admixtures) and my gedmatch "relatives" are central and north western europeans despite being a woguette.

You are such a Gitans. I searched often for Jobs and had interviews and I worked a few years. Recently a half a year ago I had a job interview at gas station. I applied for part time, said I receive pension and Im allowed to earn some pocket money extra of up to 400 euros, thats what Im allowed to work like 16 hours a week. I got a trial day. And I worked. I cleaned the toiletts. Then she said if it is too hard for you give up. And I gave up because I was not able to ship the beer boxes etc. But I often had job interviews as younger too and I worked. I highly doubt Mediterrranean & Caucasian looked woggier compared to SW Asian. And remember these components are considered mix of Basal Eurasian + WHG/ANE depending on component. South Asian vibes are either Indo Aryan Iranian aqualine noses, small chinbones, and high cheekbones or the dravidian types with flat noses and black skin in South India and communities of migrants in South Pakistan. You dont get many long head, robust facial features and semite nose people in Pakistan like you do in the middle east. Some Pashtuns and Balochis can have robust features and long heads with Iranic features similar to Kurdish people but Pakistanis whether brown or white skin have round heads and soft faces.
