Dont feel alone, its a very common situation. In Brazil, since this a very rainbow nation its totally common to see brothers and sisters that some of them are white and other are pardos, despite they have the same parents ans very similar euro/afr/ame inputs.

Its because of the genetic lottery that in Brazil there are pardos between 80-90% euro and when there are whites at 70-80% euro. There was thread about a girl from Maranhão that people said she looked Austrian/Central European/West Slave/Hungarian and she was genetically trirracial 64% european.

i know personally someone who looks VERY white with caucasoid features, light eyes, fair skin but who has a very high amount of amerindian ... well her parents do look mestizos... i think looking whiter than your ethnicity is more rare but my case isn't exactly common either tho lol it's just crazy how im even slightly whiter than my ethnic group autosomically when i look woggier (by facial features my skin tone is normal)

Don't obsess about it too much... that is a bad rabbit hole to go down. I used to feel "inferior" for being darker and more mena looking with dark hair and eyes despite my gedmatch results and g25, in reality it doesn't matter.

You are Southern Italian? I am Southern Portuguese and I think we have a similar phenotype. As a matter of fact, you and I probably look similar to how the ancient Romans looked like. Being med gives you a variety of phenotypical variation and we see that in all southern euro countries today. You are caucasian... just not stereotypically "white" like most today think is defined by light features.

You are Southern Italian? I am Southern Portuguese and I think we have a similar phenotype. As a matter of fact, you and I probably look similar to how the ancient Romans looked like. Being med gives you a variety of phenotypical variation and we see that in all southern euro countries today. You are caucasian... just not stereotypically "white" like media thinks as northern European looking.

i didn't identify with any ethnic group but i suspected romani admixture because both parents have italian surnames

I used to get called Gypsy when I visited Portugal when I was little because of how dark I was LOL. I'd stay for hours on the beach-- partly why. Genetic testing shows I got no gypsy admixture and pretty much the typical Iberian/Portuguese admixture. Phenotype in south euro rlly can be bipolar, at least in my case. I got people with dark as fuck skin, hair, eyes then people with blonde hair blue eyes and they all score the same on genetic tests ;)

this never happened to me but mostly because i am not good at tanning though i got few episodes where people asked me if i was a foreigner.

Nowhere specific. I just don't look typical for any region and I can somehow blend in with the locals in several places. What about you? Do you look more Australian or Greek?

I guess that I feel kind of lighter than what my results suggest. My Euro ancestry is mostly Spanish and some distant Italian, and on top of it I have some minor Amerindian and SSA mixtures and plot on Eurogenes K15 PCA south of Spain and close to Tuscany, and yet I'm lighter than the southern Euro stereotype that many people have in mind, and my skin/hair/eye pigmentation are also well into the white/Murican norm. Several users in this forum have told me that I pass in many western European countries, or that I look pseudo eastern European (Russian, Ukrainian or Baltic), and many people IRL have mistaken me as being from those places.

I don't think I'm much lighter than most Spaniards, but than the stereotype about them, yes.

I dont look Greek and every Greek I've encountered has told me this. Funnily enough a Greek woman did say to me if I hadn't spoken to her in Greek she would have thought I was Australian, but that's just ridiculous. Another told me I look French and I would agree with her. I do ask them what ethnicity I look like but most prefer not to answer. The old people especially think I may get offended but I wouldn't.

I have just looked at your thread about your gedmatch results. Your result look like a Southern Italian person's result. I have seen photos of you too, you look like a southern european person imo. I have seen southern italians more exotic than you (posted here, on the forum)

If your parents didn't tell you anything about having foreign ancestry, your ancerstors are Apulians/southern italians.
