iMO he looks very much alike Oleg Zubkov ( Taigan Zoo owner from Crimea )

oh wow didn't know you'd say that but now that you mention it, his English accent is on point in the song "Tonight Will Last Forever" that he did once. (even though he's good at many accents.)

How is it possible for someone from Crete to have such northern blood though?

Subnordid leaning on the nordid side, alpine mixture is visible in the lower half of the face and forehead.

Corded nordid+cm+med. Med influence gives hallstatt-like vibe and this results in a pseudo anglo-saxon appearance. I remember similar examples from turkey and balkans.

Possible connection to mainland perhaps? Outliers happen, for example a couple of months ago I posted an Iranian footballer who wouldn't look out of place in Scandinavia

Would guess him Austrian or Croatian. On the Nordic side.
