Hi, im AB+ and in a weird way im not sure why other than strange odds. my dad is AB+, my sibling and I are both AB+. he is german and irish with no strange "surprise!" ancestors I could find up to the mid 1700s. the percentage of AB blood in both those countries today are 3 or 4%.

1. excuse the word salad title, but i couldn't find any other AB or AB+ threads because searching 2 or 3 characters is too short to allow a search. hopefully this will help a bit with that in the future.

2. any explanations for AB in me? I mean i guess it happens in a percentage of every population, is that all it is?

3. Anyone know any stuff about AB- or + ? Scientifically backed would be ideal, but anything is fine I guess. in east asia AB is "crazy, unpredictable" blood type, not exactly seen as positive there.

4. If you have any thoughts or anecdotes being an AB peep please drop it here.

Universal recipients rule - nahhh, you wouldnt want my blood, you couldnt handle it.

There is a post blood type thread with a poll here. https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?206613-What-is-your-blood-type

That's about all I can remember.

Best to keep in mind AB+ is good as a transfusion for both A and B +(-?) however a little harder to come by if we need blood.

i saw that one, but its massive. ill take a look through it, but i could imagine each blood type having their own thread.

ok, checked that thread but it is a people saying "a positive" or "O negative". i would prefer discussion along the lines of the questions posed up top.

i tried copying quotes of people who replied AB, but i am drunk and ended up losing them. also they seem to have not logged in years mostly.
