You can don´t add the Greek reference in your sources , or add any Greek sample form modern pop averages that you consider better,if you want to avoid that effect. Practically any reference is shifted to some other region or country.

I think that you can divide Balkans into 2 regions,

East Balkans: Bulgarians, Macedonians, Maybe Romanians (because Romanians usually cluster with Serbians etc..., you can consider them as part of West Balkans as well as a proxy)
West Balkans: Croats, Serbs, Montenegrins, Slovenians, and Bosnians

Also you can divide Greeks into 3 regions,

Greek South: Peloponese
Greek North: Thessaly and Central Macedonia
Greek Island: Kos+Crete

Or maybe you can just put Albanians and Greeks in the same basket

Apart from this obvious,the population interchange between both sides of Gibraltar has been a minority but constant throughout ancient history, that´s because we cannot fully affirm that all the small NA contribution in Iberians comes all from the Muslim domination of the Iberian peninsula, that ancient North African input it´s suposed to have influence specially in the Western Atlantic and Southern coasts.

The problem is that many countries had too few samples, and others have a lot of samples, it is very difficult to achieve a balance between the references, because they overlap each other with nearby areas of other countries.

It is quite difficult to define the cluster of any country/region/ethnicity without touching neighbouring ones.

But hey, little by little we can expand refrences and do something fairly useful or accurate, and if not, at least we will have fun and maybe too learn something along the way.

If I add a Iberian reference with Andalucia+Portuguese my father will be 100% Iberian probably, they are his 2 closest references.:D

The problem is that many countries had too few samples, and others have a lot of samples, it is very difficult to achieve a balance between the references, because they overlap each other with nearby areas of other countries.

It is quite difficult to define the cluster of any country/region/ethnicity without touching neighbouring ones.

But hey, little by little we can expand refrences and do something fairly useful or accurate, and if not, at least we will have fun and maybe too learn something along the way.

If I add a Iberian reference with Andalucia+Portuguese my father will be 100% Iberian probably, they are his 2 closest references.:D

I have a lot of similar averages, I don´t know if this exactly too. But I am thinking in adding first Scandinavians, East African and Sub Saharan Africans and some Southwest Asian and East Asian references.

I think that Iberians are quite well represented with those two samples average, but anyway I will do that mean and we will can check how it works, and maybe in the future, add several references for Iberians, frenchs, Italians, Greeks, or East and West Balkans, etc...

If you have tried already gedmatch, you can use vahaduo for gedmatch calculators,before get your G25 coordinates, but you must do your coordinates before run them.

For example your coordinates for eurogenes k13 :

Albannach,percentage1,percentage2,percentage3,..., percentage13(so a comma to separate every coordinate)

Percentages are expressed in USA decimal notation (British also?) = the separation between integers and decimal numbers must be a point(.) not a comma(,)

You can use some coordinates for several calculators, for example, k13 coordinates work for ancient, updated and original k13 calculators.

Every percentage must be in the same order that the table with percentages offered in your first results for every project (eurogenes, dodecad etc...)and every calculator(k13,k15...etc)

Depends on each person, we are lucky, at least Spanish, because we have a lot of references from many regions and provinces. Italians and Frenchs have also many of them comparing with other countries, i am proposing different alternatives to check them, after see how they work, I will post a new model with all the changes and adding more references.

Because we usually score more in South French samples, and I add a Central French average in order to avoid overlaping, if i add a southern French sample, probably our English will dissappear.

In my parents and me with the new sample, there are more changes, I add a little more Iberian and I changed my English by French, and my father scores more Berber, we all improve distances somewhat, my mother distance still is missing a sample with a little more Basque than Cantabria.

Take the sources that are in post #1 an copy them in Vahaduo "sources"run it with your coordinates in "single" and post your results here if you want.

And then you can delete "Greek" reference and add "Balkan" or "Balkan2", you can use "Balkan2" with "Greek" reference or without it, but if you add "Balkan2" always delete "Greek".

Same with "Iberian2" sample, uso both or only one of 2 "Iberian" references.

And Same with "Celtic" or "Britih_Celtic".

You can add "Scandinavian" without delete any other reference.

Yes, it's an additional 12 euros as far as I know. You have to send an e-mail to David Wesolowski (Eurogenesblog), telling him that you would like to get your G25 coordinates. And you also need to send him your whole raw DNA data, if that's okay for you, because this is how he obtains your personal coordinates. I did it and it's pretty similar to what I get on Vahaduo (not G25, just normal Vahaduo). But it's far more consistent and I don't get ethnicities like Norwegian, German or British which would be impossible in my case.
