Turkey has really made itself unpopular all over Europe (if not downright hated again).

I found it interesting that according to the survey more Greeks would be willing to defend Turkey if they were attacked than Finns.

Likewise, Finland and Hungary were the least likely to be supportive of defending Greece. Uralic brethren?

I think it is more like anti-war mentality in Greece's case. :) Though, who knows.

I have my doubts that Hungarians are more pacifist than the rest of Europe but I could be wrong. I think in the case of Finland it is because they are more isolationist, could it be a similar case for Hungary?

I think there was another similar poll where Finland and Hungary seemed isolated (between themselves aswell).

Spaniards seem willing to support everyone, Danish support is kinda interesting (and welcome).

Likely because of this? :P

Interesting survey. Lepanto coalition against Turkey once again.

It looks like people in the North are less willing to defend either, these are theoretical numbers, the reality would be like -10%. I am pretty sure the Greek results would look similar to Turkey if it would go more like: "If Greece decided to claim more of the Mediterranean which Turkey now also claims as theirs for the same reasons: "OIL". (https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/erdogan-says-turkey-will-carry-searching-gas-mediterranean-2021-07-02/)

It's sort of pathetic that only 16% of Germany would support defending Greece (considering their central role in the EU, Germany should be amongst the highest). Spain on the other hand looks full committed to the cause. They know that any threat to Greece means a threat to their tourist industry and even more illegal immigrants arriving in Spain.

I was expecting more from the Netherlands, considering the clash it had with Erdogan the last couple of years. Nevertheless they would rather protect pita than kebab at the end of the day.

Finland is explained by being a non-NATO country, therefore expecting less help and being less willing to help as well. Hungary might be explained by historical factors (feeling betrayed by Trianon) and peculiar situation with politics (EU-Orban drama).

I trust in Nato and we don't belong to it. But how on earth the Nato put the fifth article in use in the Turkey-Greece war?

In the event of a military conflict between Greece and Turkey, they, as members of NATO, will not be supported by another EU member state if it is a member of NATO.
