Post Your updated DNA results, as of 9/11/20.

The updated results for my various kits are so, SO bad. The only person who got somewhat decent results is my maternal grandma. I guess I'll mainly be sticking to my 23andMe results for sure, now. I think the main downfall of this new update is that Ancestry is trying to separate the various ethnic groups of the British Isles, and that is way easier said than done.

Me:
England & NW Europe: 36%
Scotland: 24%
Germanic Europe: 11%

Thank you for sharing, I know this is old but this demonstrates some of my thoughts about the Ancestry estimate. I'm kind of annoyed because people keep aggressively telling me It's because one of my grandparents must not have been "x" but I know this very much isn't true and other DNA results show this. While it did do a somewhat good job for me, it way WAY underestimates Irish for me specifically and gives me and absurd amount of Scandinavian when I have absolutely none in my recent background. I do know though that all these DNA tests make mistakes with subgroups though ofc and they are estimates, and 23andme isn't perfect either. Out of curiosity I'm not sure if you still frequent here but are you able to post your newer updated results from Ancestry? I'd be curious to see how they compare and your thoughts about them as well =).
