I hadn’t seen this one before. My guess is in the next update the French will turn into Spanish, that way your results would look more like your paper trail, right?

How can you have 15-17 different ethnicities? I think AncestryDNA is overrrated.

Yeah! I would say like a combination of some of my French + Irish/British turning into Spanish (meaning Celtic-like Spanish) and some into North Italian which would turn my results into something closer to my known recent ancestry.

The French and Irish/British point into something Nordish on my genetics, but if they turn into Spanish (meaning Northern Spanish) and North Italian it would sound more realistic in my case.

Also, my Balkan turning into Italian wouldn't sound bad either xD

It simply broke down my 87-88% Euro into Spanish, French, south Italian, Balkan Irish/British and European Jewish, when it would be more accurate if it was mostly Spanish plus some Italian, and that's it. I'm sure Ancestry reading some of my Spanish/Italian as British/Irish like, French like and Balkan like components.

The rest, is just my Amerindian and SSA broken down into more detail.

hmmm... not really. He is more like a "tri-racial" castizo. He is at least 70% European for sure. If he got tested, he very likely would come up as my countryman Mixedguy.

And not all his European is Spanish, his great grandfather (the grandfather of his dad) was an Italian immigrant. So, he is 12.5% Italian, being all the rest of his European mixture, very likely Spanish.
