Hermansson The swedish should have invented something like the icelandics for surnames. They difference the sons and the daughters in the surname. The swedish should have something like "-dottir", because "son" don´t makes much sense for woman. We have "de" or "-ez" which are patronymic but are neutral, for man and woman.

If I saw her in the street I would think that she is from Germany (Eastern Germany most probably).
