I love Rupert, it's very nostalgic for me. I think I've never watched Paddington Bear

Rupert is the superior choice.

How can you make a Brit bear cartoon thread and not have my man Winnie the pooh as an option?
Paddington was a sleazy latino migrant so I vote Rupert.
Rupert is very wholesome and nostalgic.
I've never watched or heard about Rupert. When I spotted this thread I was thinking it would be The Yogi Bear Show vs Paddington Bear.
Apparently Rupert has also aired in Poland, between 1991 and 1997 but I don't remember this cartoon at all.

Paddington Bear no doubt. Rupert is cheesy in more newschool trashy way. Paddington has old school class.

Chad the Bear
Cad the peasant. Chad is an essentially peasant cad archtype.

Why such Schwabian names? What's next, Ulf, Ulrich or Udo?

I never watched Rupert or Paddington. They were not on tv were I lived. I watched Yogi Bear and Boo Boo. I also liked Winnie the Pooh. When I was a kid I used to read Berenstain Bears, Babar the Elephant, Dr Seuss, and Curious George books in the public library.
