I never realized how Germanic the Scottish lowlands and Scottish Southern Uplands seem to be because according to this thing I'm either Scottish or more Northern German/Dutch and I'd have to go with the former as I doubt I'm northern German but apparently I'm also closely related to parts of England too. Oh, boy, just when I thought I might be English American I get this ,jeez, oh, well, Scottish and English are both British anyway and they are both Germanic contrary to popular belief since there are more sheep than people in the highlands of Scotland:
