She is the daughter of my grandmothers (mums mothers) brother. My grandmother was 1/4 russian. My mum is 1/8 russian, I am 1/16 russian. Do you think in this case it shows in the baltic and germanic europe or this means nothing because other gypsies score too I score alot less then her.

6,25% is small amount and Gypsy-Russian combo can spawn confusing results, because of shared Eastern European ancestry

For example AncestryDNA is confusing my Bulgarian with Sephardic, because of shared Southern Europe-like ancestry. Usually Sephardim on AncestryDNA get now 95% South Italy and 5% Western Asian. I have 1-2% Western Asian with 12% Balkans instead of South Italy, because I also have Balkanic ancestry, and Balkanic eats up all Italian-like admixture. You can have similiar situation

yes but i think baltic-germanic is unlikely to be confused, there is another thing called eastern europe, but i didnt count it and it does make sense from what i was told by my family.

I think your Russian ancestry is in Baltics. I am 1/8 Russian and I have 12% Baltics on FTDNA now without East Slavic for some reason

As for your question, that's just the company's way of balancing the components. I doubt the Russian ancestry is real.

Yeah but I count them as full Roma despite the supposed Russian ancestry.

Why do you doubt it is real it is not that distant my mum even had a picture of her ancestor

Are the roots and ethnicity also confirmed? I am in doubt, because there is no reason for a Russian to be in Serbia and even more so settle there. It's too isolated from it.

Hm, interesting. The Cossacks are Russians too, so you're more than 12.5%. And Kamchatka is a very recently settled region (19th century), so that doesn't mean much.
Post your admixture proportions from Euro K13 and Dodecad K12b.

I checked, I have lower than for average Slav North Atlantic and Baltic, probably because of Bulgarian and Sephardic heritage?

I asked my mum. She said she knows her great grandfather was a cossack and russian and on the picture she saw in her grandmothers house he looked like a "white guy" thats all she remembers that he was a white guy and his name was michael kachanov. I asked whether my great grandmother or daughter of that cossack looked mixed or white, and my mum said she didnt look really that much different then other gypsies, kinda like my own sister though she said a little olive complexioned.
