What I mean by “being passable in US”

Of course anyone can pass in US but what I mean by being passable in US is looking like a person who doesn’t have recent immigration background. Do you agree?

Up until fairly recently, I think, there was an "American" look, that generalized mix of Anglo-Germanic/Scots/Irish that distinguished White Americans even from Canadians... it's a little harder to capture these days, but I still agree with you that there is probably still such a look...

Although perhaps that would be "passable as an American" rather than "in the US," which indeed could be anyone.

You mean English/Welsh, Scottish ,northern Irish and to a lesser extant Dutch and German (Hessians)? I can pass as Scottish or Northern Irish I think. America, of course, used to be a British colony so British ethnicities were once more common.

Ok, so you mean not southern European and not Eastern European to simplify things ? I mean maybe there were some of those before then but not a lot.

A typical white American look is an Anglo/Irish + German/Central (Western) European mix to me, many white Americans look like Anglo/Irish-German blends. Something like an Atlantid/KN/Brünn + Alpine blend would be a typical white American look, in my opinion.

Many (white) Americans also appear to be mixed with Native American (Silvid) resulting in "foreign looking" features such as more shallow set or slanted eyes, more convex or flatter nose/facial features, longer midface than what is typically common for Europeans etc; similar "American" looking features may begin to "show" when there's an African American ancestor involved.

Most Americans don't look like "WASPs" though, if they were British/Irish looking they would've looked like, say... Australians – which they don't. Most Americans look like Anglo-German mixes.

In the Southeast and the West, Americans look like Australians. But environmental differences, even language dialects, affect facial phenotype that there will always be a bit of a difference between genetically similar, geographically separated groups.
