Ordered more for personal medical research and their weekly reports and dna browser feature where you have access to countless of medical studies. But since they test my entire y and X chromosome would I be able to get my Y-DNA (E-V13) subclade or will I still need to get a separate test for that?

Do you have an idea if the SNP coverage in autosomal gets better in WGS compared to FTDNA/MH data in the public tools which we use such as G25, Gedmatch?

I sure hope that you did your homework before ordering. It basically takes a lot of time to decipher everything that they are giving you.

$300 for the test and $200 for lifetime access to their platform (weekly reports, dna browser)

I mean they have great reviews. They are affordable compared to a lot of other wg testing. Your information is stored on a blockchain. They have weekly report updates as new research comes out. I really like their platform overall from what I read about it.

I think I’ll be able to get my subclade
“ Deep Genetic Ancestry
(coming in Q4 2020)
Whole Genome Sequencing DNA testing decodes your entire Y chromosome (Y-DNA) and your mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA).
Unlike other ancestry tests, we identify all genetic markers to fully reveal your genetic makeup and help you discover your family history. We provide a detailed ancestry breakdown based on autosomal DNA. In addition, in partnership with FamilyTreeDNA, we give you access to the world’s largest Y-DNA and mtDNA databases. This enables you to trace your maternal and paternal lines, explore ancestral migration patterns, find relatives through DNA matching, and build your family tree by discovering new family connections. Power your genetic genealogical research with personal genome sequencing!”

Nebula is a great choice, I've done DanteLabs early this year during a discount for 150$.
When you have your Nebula RAW data you can upload your data to Yfull and it will give you your terminal haplogroup, you could also map it first align it through YSEQ (costs 25$). Uploading your raw data to Yfull is of course the best option, nebula will also provide you your mtDNA and you can also upload that to Yfull tree.

Thanks for the feedback!
So basically not too different than old FTDNA/MH/V3 23andme/Ancestry data.
This is my super kit(FTDNA/MH/23andme merged)

It is very similar to 23&me V3 chip.

The point of doing WGS is not for using in calculators that were made based on the limited number of SNPs in 23andme or FTDNA because those calculators on gedmatch or G25 will only look at those limited SNPs and ignore all theextra SNPs from WGS.
The point of WGS besides medical is to use in custom calculators made sourced on WGS references which are pretty limited or maybe 1240k references or use in formal tools along with WGS or 1240k references. Basically you would need to make the calculators yourself.
From the WGS or 1240k calculators i’ve put together I’ve seen differences between those and gedmatch using WGS vs 23andme data for same person

Is full genome raw data compatible with GEDmatch?

You have to convert it to V3 and I get very good results.

Also with G25 I get way better distances with my WGS data when comparing it to raw data of 23andMe and MyHeritage. Is that also for you the case?

Wait you can get g25 with WGS? Shit I didn’t even know that. Now I’m even happier about my purchase.

When you get your raw DNA (BAM file) you can extract autosomal files with WGSExtract, so you extract 23andMev3 or any other kind of autosomal files.

That would be defeating the whole purpose of doing WGS though if you only extract 23andMe V3 SNPs and throw the rest away. You can easily convert your WGS VCF file to 23andMe text formatted. Keep all your WGS SNPs

How long did it take for you to get your results?
