Please classify singer/composer Kemal Monteno, he has been one of most popular singers/composers of pop balads in former Yugoslavia. His father is Italian (one of Italian soldiers that after 1943 joined Tito's partisans according to my sources.) and his mother is Bosniak woman from Sarajevo.
Kemal Monteno (born September 17, 1948) is a popular Bosnian singer-songwriter. He was born to an Italian father and a Bosniak mother. He recorded his first song Lidija in 1967 and has enjoyed a prosperous career in the former Yugoslavia. He is perhaps best known for Sarajevo ljubavi moja (Sarajevo Love of Mine), a tribute to his home town.[1]
Many of his songs have also been performed by others. For instance, "Bacila je sve niz rijeku" (She threw everything down the river) was a hit not only for him, but for Tose Proeski, Crvena Jabuka and Indexi. Similarly, others had success performing "Nekako s proljeća" (Somehow in a springtime) and "Nije htjela" (She didn't want).
