What throws me off is that Romanians in America look different than the ones posted here. Romanians in the US typically have round heads, meaty cheeks, and varying degrees of color. A lot of the ones posted here look more sleek, slim faced. I'm thinking old school Romanian American populations in places like Michigan, Illinois, etc.

they are, especially when they are oblique and upturned eyes. There are southeast asians with visible upperlids and no epicanthic folds but their eyes always look mongoloid.
There's even one thread on this forum about how big are asian eyes compared to northern europeans. From 2014.

No, I am not even old on this forum, I really want to know what you did in the past, the feuds etc... Might be helpful for me in the future. I am relatively new on this forum but lurked for months back then, so if you have time you can tell me which is the person you think I am.

Anyway, seems to me like the romanians of this place like to get their persons classified as turanid.. On other sites like reddit they would deny they have any asian admixture, it's pretty interesting how such a large collective has different set of ideas and concepts. Very uncommon, you wouldn't find this behavior in turks for example, most of them greatly claim they descend from Turanics, unlike romanians which is said they descend from vlacho-dacic whatever, but when online it's different. Very interesting results...

And of course I rule out ixulescu, he's not even romanian.

Here I actually have to agree with you that Turanid presence is overestimated in Romanians. I'm from Southeastern Romania and growing up there I don't remember seeing as many Turanids as I see in this forum :lol: (not counting the Tatar minority we have there, of course.)

Not really man. The more northern and/or rural the population in Romanian is the more rounder the faces are. The opposite is also true for more southern and urban populations. It's almost like Romanian faces are one third rounder (Gorids, Baltids, some Alpines), one third long (Dinarids and Pontids) and one third in the middle (Carpathids and Alpine Meds). Romania really has all shapes and sizes (of bodies).
