Post Southern Shifted Hungarians

Post examples of Hungarians who are significantly more southern than average Hungarians in a genetic sense. DNA test results, pictures, etc. I'm curious to see similar and unique results here at the same time.

Before I did a DNA test I thought I'm mainly similar to regular Hungarians (I'm Hungarian ethnically), but it's not really true. In fact, I'm one of the most southern shifted Hungarians on this forum (not counting TheMaestro for example). Hungarians can have a wide variety of ancestries. According to Myheritage I'm almost 100% Southeast European and also 1.2% Ashkenazi who are genetically similar to South Italians I believe.

My father didn't do a DNA test yet, but with the help of Kaspias and other members we've managed to isolate his ancestry (genetically) based on my G25 coordinates. We have yet to find another ethnic Hungarian who is more southern shifted than me or my father. Right now I would like to do a 23andme test because they can usually find out someone's genetical ancestry very well. To see how southern I am and what regions they assign to me.


My father is so southern shifted (theoretically), that in fact, he is closer to many Greek and Italian samples than to the Hungarian on G25 for example. So here is how my father scores, many results and pictures (+my results too):

And if we use gixajo's finger method, we can extrapolate that your mom might very well plot in the range of the other Hungarians. Although the more divergiant the parents, the better this method works. But it does seem that your parents are different enough for this to result in a reasonable approximation for her.

Theoretically? I'm confused, are you totally Hungarian and just southern shifted, or seriously mixed of different groups? Being modeled some way and actually being that model means very very different things.

My aunt (my father's sister) when she was younger she was taken for gypsy a few times. She looks mediterranean. Now that she's middle age she became less gypsy/exotic looking.

My aunt (my father's sister) when she was younger she was taken for gypsy a few times. She looks mediterranean. Now that she's middle age she became less gypsy/exotic looking.

Interesting... I was actually mistaken for a Gypsy this week, a guy told me ,,biztos van benned egy pár vonóval'' (it's hard to translate because this is a saying about people who might be part Romani, it's connected to the violin because there are famous Romani musicians and many are talented)

This is sad but true, in Hungary if you are darker (not only your hair and eyes), but you have darker skin, more mediterranean features, sometimes you are instantly a Gypsy to many people. But at the same time, that person who is mistaken for Gypsy in Hungary, he/she could be actually Greek, Italian, Macedonian, etc.

I know a very stupid guy (Hungarian), he says that all Turks are Gypsies because they look similar to Gypsies and Gypsies came from Turkey to Hungary.... even local Gypsies are confused about themselves, some of them like to believe that they are Italians and stuff like this.. ohh man I could create a huge thread about his.
