Given that North Italians’ being slightly lighter than Spaniards (at least some studies show this way), I think it is basically due to climatic conditions. Since North Italians are genetically slightly more southern than Spaniards, I believe that if a group of North Italians were born and raised in Spain, they would be darker than Spanish average. Do you agree or no?

The Northern Italians would still retain their lightness, Pigment doesn't just change if you move to a country and live there for a while, or else Anglo Whites in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa would be darker than Spaniards but they aren't.

No.

And BTW, Northern Italy is very diverse so saying that "N.Italians are slightly more southern" doesn't mean anything. Don't you see differences between Friulans and Ligurians or Emilians ?

Genetically they are far from being the same and phenotypically as well.

:picard1:
just a simple answer- NO.

this genetic ploting bs cannot explain you everything, people take it way too far on this site

a good portion of North Italians can tan very good- better than Spaniards at times, but Iberians have more darker haired people.

So difference Darker /lighter haired - darker/ lighter eyed- darker / ligher skin- only the latter will get darker when you expose to more sun but only becasue they POSSES the ability to tann.

(thats so simple :picard1: i dont know why i m even answering to this)

I think it is not always correct because Indians who grow UK are lighter-skinned than the ones grow in India (assumed that compared people are of the same ethnic origin).

Iberians have more WHG than North Italians, Iberians aren't more northern and haven't more Steppe than North Italians.

Yes they would change their pigmentation but in a much much longer time.. we are talking about thousands of years here if this question was even serious.

Nothing will change, for there to be change the climate must be extreme, polar or tropical, not by spending one summer month on the Mediterranean coast

Try to understand what I just wrote. I didn't talk about ,,one month'', exactly the opposite of it.

But also more northern shifted would get darker . So a blonde Swede will have his bronze all year if he exposes himself to the sun...

He is just making wrong assumptions. WHG means northernshifted but it does not necessary mean lighter in this particular case. Lighter skinned maybe, but i doubt there is a difference in tanning ability between them. Its merely hair/ eye colour

the opposite will not have any effect on the skin, in September everyone loses their tan, Spain is not in the tropics
