Being 1/4 Southern, 1/8 Northern and 5/8 British Isles, I think the best 50/50 model would be half Northern French half British Isles. Northern France is generally the midway between North Germanic/British countries and West Med nations.

French ancestry use to give problems with all the surrounding countries in these models (It is not the only one, but it is one of the typical ones whose references give overlapping problems) , I don´t know why I thought a French&German references for central Europe could be a good idea.
