I think it requires raw data to be converted to FASTA. But I think you need to do raw data -> VCF, and then VCF -> FASTA (from what I saw on the internet)

where can I convert it?

I did not find a single website. You would have to install some third party github tools/scripts on your local PC, but I am not 100% it would work for other than 23andme raw data.

However, if someone wants to experiment, he/she would install GATK (https://github.com/broadinstitute/gatk/releases), convert MyHeritage raw data to VCF format. Once successfully converted to VCF, he/she would use this scripts (https://github.com/anorris8/vcf-to-23andme) to convert to 23 and me.

Perhaps that would work with the website Beowulf provided

Ok, honestly I never did a haplogroup test, only my male relative did it so I know my paternal haplogroups (Y-DNA: I2a1, and mt-DNA: U5a2b), pretty useless for me since I don't inherit any of them. My maternal uncle on the other hand ONLY did the Y-test (result: J1), again the most important test for me is missing.

So here I converted it into a 23andme file. Results:

That’s what I was doing. I converted it into 23andme format using DNAGenics but somehow I didn’t get a result in James Lick…

Unfortunately no… but some of my friends who were H (not HV) used to get further downstream… I wonder why not those who got HV get it

Based on what I know about Y DNA, and assuming this works the same for mtDNA, I guess they don't have some of the subbranches in their database on phylotree (https://phylotree.org/). Another option is that your branch has mutations not registered in your raw data so you need deeper test

The very rough results are motivated by the few mtDNA SNPs that are tested there. But you can be happy that they at AncestryDNA at all do test any mtDNA SNPs. Because it's not used for anything what they do.

It would still be important to know the exact clade of my HV. Otherwise the test is quite useless to determine its origin. Although I think HV0 is the most plausible one giving my other results…

If you mean autosomal results, I can tell you it doesn't have to mean anything. I got Y and mtDNA haplogroups that would place me respectfully in Romania/Ukraine and Sicily/Calabria, and autosomally I'm nowhere near.

I got R0 on 23andme and I got HV0f on jameslick I wonder if it is true :confused:

Ok update: Unfortunately the James Lick algorithm didn't provide me a result BUT DNAgenics did. That's where I learned that I'm a HV. Now I just discovered that if you click on the haplogroup you get a deeper sequencing of your subclade. Result: HV0.
I kinda knew it deep down XD
