Gedmatch thread for Tibetans or Tibetan speakers/ Tibetan descended or predominantly Tibetan people. It could include Nepali Tibetids, or East/ North Indian/Pakistani/Afghan Tibetids or Bhutanese or any other Tibetan clusters from China/Myanmar.

Tibetans and Tibetan speakers from Nepal are mostly Yellow River Farmer with a lil Austro-Asiatic and ENA or AASI shifted IVC admix; they don't seem to have admixture from middle caste or upper caste South Asians. The most South Asian shifted Tibetids also has tribal/lowcaste such as Gond like South Asian admix which I'll post below. So, I think the South Asian admixture in some of them is not modern day admixture. I think the Siberian component here is not actual Siberian admix since in the G25 modeling, they don't pick anything other than Yellow River and lil Austro-Asiatic.

HOLLYYY. how did you find a naga kit?? damnnn. nice job bro.

even tibetans are kinda hard to find. ive mostly just come across nepali mongoloid kits.

but yeah the naga kit seems to match the naga average on harappa very well. Its weird to see they score less south asian than tibetans from tibet though lol. it makes sense given the history but still interesting.

highest NE asian i've seen was 79% on a northeast chinese from liaoning before. This naga tops that kit by 5%. Nagas are the ultimate pure northeast asians then lol.

The Naga kit appeared in some Tibetan matches. Yeah, Nagas appear to break this calculator lol. Based on G25, some of the contenders of the most unadmixed/pure Yellow River folks were Qiangs, some North Hans and some Tibetans. If samples from Sikkim, Bhutan, Naga and Nysha tribes would appear in G25, we would know the most unadmixed/pure Yellow River farmer.

But the river is in the middle of China. Shouldn't the Han be the purest ones? I believe the Han are virtually 100% East Asian.

Yeah, you can see some Northern Hans from the Yellow River valley such as Shanxi and Henan in my G25 modeling have only 4% Austronesian Hanben admix. So, it's almost pure East Asian but I have not seen their kits. If they don't score very high NE-Asian, it could be calculator limitation.

The Indian Nagas seem to have the highest levels of NE-Asian as a group in gedmatch calcs. Their G25 would be interesting.

It's very difficult to find data of those groups that are on lower socio-economic strata such as Chepang or Dalits unless researchers/ scientists conduct tests as in case of Kusunda samples. Chepangs live close to Tamangs in the lower hills, so their score would be similar to them imo.

Native Nepalese never call themselves "Tibetan Nepalese", they belong to one of the Mongoloid tribes such as Sherpa, Rai (Kirant tribe), Tamang, Gurung, Magar, etc. I think Sherpa is being called Tibetan since they're the ones closest to Tibetans. She would be a mix of below Sherpa average with the Australian white.

Nepalese and Tibetan clusters are the one of those Mongoloids who score very low SE-Asian, even the North Hans score more SE-Asian at least on Harappaworld. However, most of these SE-Asian scores are mostly misread Yellow River Farmer admix in case of North Hans since they score less than 5% Austro-Asiatic/Austronesian admix in G25

These North Han Chinese scores 10-19% SE-Asian.
