I dont know. You can go bald also due to stress.
If it runs in your family it likely might be the case.
My fathers brothers are bald but he still has all his hair. And his father didn't develop baldness. So not sure how that happened. My grandmother and her siblings didnt develop it either.

I'm trying to understand SNP Pedia. I saw my raw data and it shows I'm TT (I copied and pasted on the right in the pic) and SNPPedia says TT is at high risck. They also shows an odds ratio, relative risk and p value and the link in Pubmed. But I don't know if I can check it manualy.

There are many SNPs that can affect or influence in baldness, not all of them are known and how they work exactly when they are present at the same time than others.

All this just say you that having this genotyp can affect in more probability of being bald, is not any prediction for the future.

If you are 37 years and you have the hair that you have, I doubt that you will be totally bald, but I would say too right nowthat you are not the most hairy guy in the world.:D

Donīt worry, if you are going bald, you will notice it.;)

I am bald. I can just read T in that SNP you have shown, donīt know if the lecture was incomplete or itīs normal have one single nucleotid in a genotype.

You look like one of those guys that will still be good looking, in spite of the balding.

I would classify you as level 3 on norwood scale checking by your avatar

Around level 4 it will be the best moment to do hair transplant if you believe it affects you

Would you shave your head if you began balding significantly?

Finasteride + Minoxidil + Koteconazole Shampoo

But I believe it's unworthful, try hair transplant in Turkey, it's cheap and those guys are really good
Here a thread talking about it

The trichologist I visited today said there are better alternative to those two - saw palmetto.

She recommended these products made of natural ingredients, there can be no side effects:

1) - energizing shampoo which helps prevent the weakening of hair bulbs and the miniaturization of hair follicles
2) - saw palmetto herbal supplement (pills to swallow), works like Finasteride (for hair loss & for prostate health)
3) - lotion stem for massaging into skin, stimulating growth, repairing damaged hair follicles; works like Minoxidil
(the doctor said it can permanently increase hairs in treated area by 10-15%; the producer advertises even 30%)
4) - vitalizing lotion, prevents hair loss, stimulates blood circulation, includes stem cells, blocks production of DHT

The trichologist said that these things can prevent further hair loss as well as increase the amount of hairs by 10-15%. Especially if you combine it with hair mesotherapy. For more spectacular results a transplant is needed (and this trichology clinic cooperates with a very high quality Turkish hair transplant clinic), but after a transplant you still should use these kinds of supplements and shampoos to make sure that the effects will be permanent.

Also to diagnose the causes of hair loss, she recommended to test if I have these things within the norm in my body:

- morphology
- iron
- CRP
- TSH
- FT3
- FT4
- ATPO
- ATG
- vitamine D3
- vitamine B12
- zinc
- cortisol
- testosterone
- DHT

The list also includes (but she did not recommend these as necessary in my case):

- ferritin
- OB
- SHGB
- swab from head skin
- biopsy of head skin
- elemental hair analysis

And these things are for women only (can be important for women with hair loss):

- androstenedione
- prolactin
- FSH
- LH
- estriadol
- progestegon

Thank you very much. I can test these: - iron, CRP, TSH, FT3, FT4, ATPO, ATG, vitamine D3, vitamine B12, zinc, cortisol, testosterone, DHT. First I'll try these products.
I don't knew this: "after a transplant you still should use these kinds of supplements and shampoos to make sure that the effects will be permanent." I tought the transplated hair were androgen resistant. I didn't expect I will have trouble after I do it.
