I have now been tested by both Ancestry (latest version) and 23andMe (version 4...still waiting for the next DNA estimate update that version 5 participants got). I am attaching the photos of both of these results and am wondering if other users think they comport with what I know about my genetic background, which is:

From my my father I am:
-1/8th Orcadian (Scottish, from the Orkney Islands)
-1/8th Sicilian (Messina Province)
-1/8th French (Berrichon/modern day Indres)
-1/8th unknown, likely Scotch-Irish

From my mother, both her parents have been 23andMe version 5 tested and they are:
grandmother: 92.8% "British and Irish' (likely mostly English with some Scotch-Irish and Scottish contribution), 5.7% French or German (all German in her case, from Baden-Wurtemburg mostly), 0.6% Finnish, 0.6% Bengali-Northeast Indian, 0.1% Broadly NW European
grandfather: 84.4% "British and Irish" (likely overwhelmingly English with minor Scottish, Irish, and Welsh contribution), 14% French or German (all German in his case, from Baden-Wurtemburg mostly), 0.9% Broadly NW European and 0.7% Cypriot.

Check out my results attached. Any surprises?104528104529104530104531
