Yes it can be (although this is not the case). It is well known that many families did not mix themselves with native amerinidans and SSA admixed people but between criollo families.
In the other hand. There are mestizos of different ranges of european input, who look more spanish and white than many other native spanish. And that is bcs genotype does not always correspond with phenotype as it is well known,

Like Juanes daughters... For example. His mom is certainly a mestiza but his dad probably isn't (seeing both of Juanes his parents its just very unlikely)

And probably in some families some native ancestor would be hidden or omitted, it already happened in ancient Rome and in many other times and even in Spain with that of pulling the blanket.

So harsh but true, this applies literally to 99% of us Latin Americans all of us are creation of 3 colonial bloods of course our percentages /phenotypes/genotypes varies per person.

Even 1% of our blood Is Important for example I'm myself 3% black without the 3% of my DNA I would simply NOT EXIST.
